CUET celebrates 5th Digital Bangladesh Day-2021
Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has celebrated 'Digital Bangladesh Day-2021' for the 5th time with the theme 'Achieving Digital Bangladesh, Benefiting All People'. On this occasion, a joyous rally was held in front of the administrative building of the university on December 12 (Sunday). It was led by the Vice Chancellor of CUET Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam. The rally ended at the Swadhinata Chattar from the administrative building and ended in front of the mural of Bangabandhu.
At the time, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr. Sunil Dhar, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Dr. Mohammad Mashiul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Registrar (Additional Responsibilities) Professor Dr. Farooq-uz-Zaman Chowdhury, Teachers, students, officials and employees of CUET family were present.
On the occasion of Digital Bangladesh Day, in a short discussion meeting at the foot of Bangabandhu mural, VC Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said, “When Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the election manifesto for building a digital Bangladesh in 2008, it sounded like a dream to everyone. But in just a decade, digital Bangladesh is now a reality. All government services are now available on digital platforms. We are well aware of the benefits of digital Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using digital facilities, we have now reached the level of a middle-income country. The world is now on the path of the 4th Industrial Revolution. We believe that the ongoing success of the implementation of Digital Bangladesh will play a role in this revolution.”
Deputy Director (Public Relations) Mohammad Fazlur Rahman conducted the events on the occasion.
